Following my early morning skunking, I was rewarded with a bit of luck; about the time I was driving out of the park, the sky finally started to clear, and some lovely golden light spilled out into the landscape. I turned around and headed back, revisiting my earlier spot and finally ended at the RC flying field.
There was some good autumn color in the field’s treeline, and outside of the air stip the wild grasses were as tall as I am. I’m a sucker for tall grasses in photos, and even more so when I found this patch of purple flowers. With the color contrast between the autumn golds and the purple blossoms, I had to get some shots, and spent several minutes working different angles and apertures before calling it a morning.
