Turkey Trot

Happy Thanksgiving to all!  May your day be filled with friends, family, food, and cheer.

Overall, I think we always have a great deal to be thankful for, and it’s nice to have a day dedicated to that, where we can really stop and think and be appreciative.  As holidays go, this is one of the best, because it’s true to its cause, without the distracting obligations of gift-giving and rampant consumerism.  (That’s tomorrow, with all the Black Friday nonsense.)

I’m thankful for my new wife, for having a warm home and loving family.  I’m thankful for the travel and the photographic opportunities I’ve had, for the creativity and passions I’ve been able to indulge.  And I’m thanking for living in Pennsylvania, a place I truly love.

The photo above is borrowed from my dear friend Paul Sevensky, but I knew he wouldn’t mind and it’s a nice change from my usual turkey photos, which tend to get reused year after year.
