What is it about water lilies that make them so lovely?  I think it might have something to do with how inaccessible they are, softly faceted gem blossoms floating atop green lily pads out in the water.  They are easy to admire from a distance, from shore, but much harder to see close up.

Unless you have a kayak, that is.  Then it’s a piece of cake!
