BRENT PENNINGTON Sunrise over Lackawanna Lake on the morning of 01 August 2015.

Just a few shots of sunrise from my blue moon morning paddle.  It was a great sunrise, one of those that looks like it’s going to skunk out, but then bursts through for just a few minutes.  The thick clouds were all gone within 15 minutes, leaving a bald sky – funny how fast things change.

I think I processed these using the Velvia emulation in VSCO.  The colors really were intense that morning, so I tried to retain that in the photos, although on my monitor, it looks like some of the purples in the sky may block up in the reduced online color space.
