Just a couple of shots of a female Ruby-throated Hummingbird we spotted in Paul’s garden last week.  We were following up on our epic afternoon of hawk-watching and hoping for an encore, but no dice.  Instead, we came back with a handful of shots of little critters,

But that’s okay, these little guys are fun too, and are often more challenging a subject.  Whereas raptors are large and relatively slow-moving, hummingbirds are tiny and zip around in constant motion, which can be a real challenge to focus on.
