I got an octobox! I’ve wanted one of these for years; the Apollo Orb was just released and it’s unique design makes it perfect for Speedlites, avoiding two major issues that most other octoboxes face: differing mounting rings and PITA setup.
This isn’t a full review – haven’t had it long enough for that. So far it’s been on one shoot, and the only thing I can say for sure is, I don’t know how to use the damn thing yet. It isn’t quite like a regular softbox. Practice will make perfect. More to come!
